I think your pet will love me because I love taking naps. Just like human relationships trust has to be built between you and an animal. Animals are generally weary of strangers. I like to make sure pets are comfortable with me and then I take a nap to show them I'm harmless. Usually sometime during my nap the curious kitty or dog will try to interact with me some how with a nudge or even a full on snuggle with me. Napping is a universal trait that most pets enjoy. Right away I establish trust because we have something in common. Something this simple puts pets at ease.
